EMERSON DRIVE

Sunday March 18 @ 8pm
Tickets - $48.50 + HST (includes $3.50 seat surcharge)

A decade of great music and over a million miles of life on the road have brought Emerson Drive to the spot that many artists dream of, a Grammy-nominated country band with a bright future. After 10 years the members of Emerson Drive are excited to have reached this career milestone and can't wait to see what the next 10, 20 or 30 years will bring.

"We have been playing music our entire lives," explains lead vocalist Brad Mates. "None of us can imagine doing anything else. We belong together on that stage each night. It's exciting for us to see what we have accomplished so far and to be planning for the next decade. This tour is still just the beginning!"

Emerson Drive has been a part of the country music scene since they signed their first record deal with DreamWorks Records Nashville in 2001. The band's first two singles, "I Should Be Sleeping" and "Fall Into Me," peaked in the Top 5 on the Billboard charts and quickly became fan favorites but it was the career-changing song "Moments" that gave the band their first #1 single in the USA. Emerson Drive has been honored with awards and/or nominations from the Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association, Canadian Country Music Association, CMT, Dove Awards, Grammy Awards, Inspirational Country Music Association, Juno Awards, Music Row Magazine and Campus Activities Magazine. The band has toured with Toby Keith, Shania Twain and Big & Rich among other artists.

The Decade & Driving Tour celebrates the ten years of great music that began with Emerson Drive's debut single, "I Should Be Sleeping," and continues today with their most recent single release, "Let Your Love Speak," from their DECADE OF DRIVE: THE HITS album.

"This tour is a celebration," comments lead vocalist Brad Mates. "We have spent 10 years out on the road sharing our music with country fans across North America. We can't wait to take the party back out on the road."

From their beginning traveling together as a family in a Dodge Omni car, to a successful music ministry with national hits, The Browders of Hiltons, Virginia are one of the most exciting groups to step on stage in many years. This family group consists of Tommy Browder, his sons, Matthew and David, and Matthew’s wife, Sonya. They travel year round, keeping a full concert schedule as well as holding revivals across the country. One of their most captivating qualities is that The Browders play much of their music live with Tommy on acoustic lead, David on bass, Matthew on rhythm guitar and Sonya on piano. They also write most of their own music.

In recent years, they have been steadily expanding and improving their ministry for the glory of God. They have enjoyed Singing News charting success with original songs like “Stand Up For Jesus” (peaked at #7, in top 20 songs of the year), “Waitin’ On My Change” (#14) and many others. With the release of their highly-anticipated, “The Message” recording came a milestone—their first #1 radio single, “Message of the Cross”. They are currently performing songs from that recording as well as their hits and most-requested songs.

We hope that in the near future you are able to attend or host a Browders’ concert to experience how God is working through this team.

'They're on their way, to the city lights' ... and, THE predominant Canadian Rock 'n' Roll band of the 1970s – The Stampeders – are bringing along all their classic hits: Wild Eyes, Carry Me, Oh My Lady, Devil You, Monday Morning Choo Choo, Minstrel Gypsy, Hit the Road Jack and, of course, the quintessential Canadian – and Hall of Fame – song, Sweet City Woman! A veritable soundtrack to a whole generation that will 'carry you home' ... maybe not to Birmingham ... but back to a time of tie-dyed t-shirts and elevator shoes, 15¢ coffee and homemade apple pie, dating and dreaming ... By the time The Stampeders get to the first chorus of the first song, everyone will be singing along.

No seventies group represented Canada's musical identity to the world like The Stampeders. A quick look at Canada's music scene from 1971 until 1976 confirms The Stampeders were truly the country's international musical ambassadors, touring more extensively in Canada and overseas than any other Canadian group during that time. In 1977 the trio: Rich Dodson (lead guitar), Kim Berly (drums) and Ronnie King (bass) parted company but reunited, fittingly at the Calgary Stampede, 15 years later in 1992. Since then they've been recognized by SOCAN for their Lifetime Achievement, been inducted into the SOCAN Songwriters Hall of Fame on five occasions and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame for their 1971 seminal hit Sweet City Woman. To mark the 40th anniversary of its release, The Stampeders recorded a 2-cd set, Live at the Mae Wilson, released in late 2010, and dedicated to all their loyal fans.

The enduring musical legacy of The Stampeders... 'better catch a noon train, better get there for a rock 'n' rolling good time!'

Reserved seating tickets for The Stampeders go on sale Friday, December 2nd, and are available from the box offices listed below. Showtime is 8pm. For more info, pics & music clips, visit www.shantero.com or www.stampeders.net
