ST. MARY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL presents
FOOTLOOSE – THE MUSICAL
Friday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
Tickets $15.00 + HST (All Ages)
When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the adjustment to his new high school. What he isn’t prepared for are the local laws – including a ban on dancing – which are the brainchild of a local preacher bent on exercising control over the town’s youths. When the Reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her heart on Ren, her boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation and many of the locals are eager to believe the worst about the new kid. With its Oscar’-nominated hit score (the film soundtrack album has sold over 15 million copies world-wide) the celebrated film musical now bursts explosively onto the stage.
Book by Dean Pitchford and David Saint. Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford. Music and lyrics by Eric Carmen, Michael Gore, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, Tom Snow, Jim Steinman, Bill Wolfer and Dean Pitchford

Brass Transit was formed in 2008 and brought together 8 of Canada’s most talented, accomplished and award- winning players. Their sole purpose was to pay tribute to the decades-long, multiplatinum songbook of CHICAGO.
Since then, the band has toured North America steadily, dazzling audiences with flawless performances and spectacular attention detail. Hits like: Saturday In The Park, 25 or 6 To 4, If You Leave Me Now, Feelin’ Stronger Every Day and Beginnings have left crowds in awe, evoking multiple standing ovations and comments like: “Spine-Tingling!” “Brought me back to my youth!” and “Perfect in every detail!”.
Brass Transit goes far beyond just imitating the songs; they embody the music. They recently produced their first (self-titled) album, taking songs by other top artists from the seventies and recording them with horns in the CHICAGO style. The result is a fresh approach to some of the greatest hits of the era. They also recently scored their show for full symphony orchestra with original arrangements that are truly spellbinding.
Brass Transit will bring you back to the most memorable times of your life. Get ready to sing along!
