About The Arts Centre

Located on the St. Lawrence River in the world famous 1000 Islands region; the Brockville Arts Centre is recognized as one of the finest medium size historic theatres in Canada. Year after year we welcome thousands of theatregoers to an experience that makes them feel close and connected to the performers on stage.

The Brockville Arts Centre has one of the region’s top art galleries, is fully accessible and provides phonic in-ear devices for those with hearing disabilities.  The theatre is air conditioned, has ample free parking and the lobby bar is licensed (LLBO).

The theatre is located in the heart of historic downtown Brockville within easy walking distance of the city’s beautiful St. Lawrence River harbour and fine restaurants.

In 2009, the Brockville Arts Centre underwent a two-million dollar restoration and re-decoration project including the installation of 700 high-quality seats.

In Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, excavating both the humor and pathos in the turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against but is exactly like her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird's father (Tracy Letts) loses his job.
