Always something to see... Built in 1858, the Brockville Arts Centre remains one of the most unique and historic performing arts centre’s in Canada. Each year the theatre greets thousands of guests to an experience that makes you feel up close and connected with each performer. The Brockville Arts Centre’s large proscenium stage and fine acoustics regularly attracts “World Class” entertainers such as Harry Connick Jr., Roger Whitaker, Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Paul Brandt, Oliver Jones, Randy Bachman, Peter Appleyard, The Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Tragically Hip . The theatre also hosts many popular annual events such as The 1000 Islands Jazz Festival, the Summer Music Legends Series and the Fall Classical Music Series. The Brockville Arts Centre is the home stage for the St. Lawrence College Music/Theatre Performance Program who produce impressive high quality musical productions such as CATS, Beauty & the Beast, A Chorus Line and Footloose. This program has gained National recognition. The theatre boasts one of the region's top Art Galleries, is fully accessible and offers phonic in-ear hearing devices for those with hearing disabilities.
