Babes in Arms

The Brockville Arts Centre has a NO BABES IN ARMS POLICY for REGULAR performances.

The theatre does allow BABES IN ARMS for CHILDRENS & FAMILY shows only. BABES IN ARMS is defined as children up to 6 months old. BABES IN ARMS will be issued a complimentary ticket. Children older than 6 months will be required to purchase a ticket.

ALL persons regardless of age must have a ticket to enter the auditorium. The Ontario Fire Code regulations state that everyone attending a performance must have an admission ticket and an assigned seat. The Ontario Fire Code states that a child sitting on someone’s lap is not considered to be in an assigned seat. This measure is taken to ensure the approved seating capacity of the auditorium is not exceeded and for the safety of all guests.

Children unable to sit quietly throughout a performance may, along with the accompanying adult, be asked to leave the auditorium.

In Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, excavating both the humor and pathos in the turbulent bond between a mother and her teenage daughter. Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) fights against but is exactly like her wildly loving, deeply opinionated and strong-willed mom (Laurie Metcalf), a nurse working tirelessly to keep her family afloat after Lady Bird's father (Tracy Letts) loses his job. Set in Sacramento, California in 2002, amidst a rapidly shifting American economic landscape, Lady Bird is an affecting look at the relationships that shape us, the beliefs that define us, and the unmatched beauty of a place called home.
